Samarth Gaurav Puraskar
Since 2010, Samarth Pratishthan has been giving ‘Samarth Gaurav Puraskar’ to promote and bring to the public eye such outstanding organizations that are not in the limelight, contribute to society, and so on. 11 thousand rupees, medals, shawl, punier turban are the form of this award.
Snehalay, an organization run my Mr. Kulkarni, works for orphans and handicapped children in addition to the kids of HIV-positive families and those working in brothels. The organization also provides good education and living facilities to homeless and windowed women. It encourages them to learn things in the field of their choice and makes them independent in order to face the world outside. Many such once-sheltered members are now on their own feet today.
Through their foundation ‘Vignaharta-Nyas’, they mediate coordination between the Pune Police Dept. and the Ganapati Mandals during Ganeshotsav. They actively organize eye donation camps throughout the year. Rehabilitating flood-struck villages of Helwak, Koynanagar, and Karhad and drought-struck villagers of Marathwada and Vidarbha regions is also an area on which the foundation majorly works.
He has been working on the rescue and rehabilitation of border violence-affected kids specifically girls in the Kupwara, Budgam, and Anantnag regions of Kashmir. The emphasis lies on the Healthcare, Education, Rehabilitation of Orphans & Widows, Women Empowerment, Migrants & Refugees, and Empowerment through Employment.
He has been instrumental in studying problems faced by farmers in the drought-affected regions and solving issue through water harvesting, raising funds, and getting farmers together to help them solve issues and problems that would otherwise provoke farmers to commit suicide.
